Fern & Feral was built for people who work with their hands, live by the seasons, and choose things that earn their place. We believe the best goods are simple, useful, and made to last—not precious, not trendy, not disposable.

This brand grew out of real life: hard days, early mornings, weather that doesn’t cooperate, and the quiet satisfaction of using something that just works.  “Feral” doesn’t mean careless. It means untamed, capable, and a little resistant to unnecessary polish

Here, creativity grows wild, kids outnumber clean floors, and every handmade piece carries a bit of dirt-under-the-nails magic.
I’m a mom of two boys, building a life rooted in self-reliance, curiosity, and making things with our own hands. Around here, there’s always something in progress — a garden bed going in, a structure half-built, a chicken on the loose, or a pair of ducks waddling straight through whatever we just finished. The floors are rarely clean, the snacks are half-eaten, and the learning happens as we go.
It's in this chaos that I create.
Fern & Feral is my little corner of calm, humor, and creativity, inspired by the wild edges of our outdoorsy, gritty hard working lifestyle.
What started as nature-inspired creativity is evolving into something more practical and purposeful:
DIY blueprints, guides, and resources for building a fuss free, self-reliant life.
Here, you’ll find:
• Step-by-step DIY plans and blueprints
• Practical guides rooted in real-life learning (not perfection)
• Gardening and homestead-inspired education
• Designs and ideas shaped by a hands-on, build-it-yourself mindset
Everything I create is influenced by our everyday — weathered wood, thriving (and sometimes struggling) gardens, muddy boots, and the constant rhythm of building, fixing, growing, and trying again. These aren’t polished, picture-perfect systems. They’re real solutions from a real, busy, lived-in life.  Without all the extra fluff and complicated rules.
When you support our shop, you’re supporting a tiny, muddy, love-filled, family-run micro-business built between garden rows, tool piles, duck antics, and raising two boys who believe every stick is a sword and every project needs “just one more idea.”
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for choosing handmade, homegrown knowledge.
And thank you for supporting a life lived somewhere between peaceful ferns… and absolute feral chaos.
Welcome to the wild.
